About this file
This document is Award Delivery Information for a Request for Quote (RFQ) for food service products to be delivered to the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, a Federal Bureau of Prisons facility, for Fiscal Year 2027.
Deliveries must be scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays between 7:00 am and 11:00 am at the MDC Brooklyn rear loading dock, with no deliveries accepted on Federal holidays. All food items must be palletized on heavy-duty red or blue block pallets (48" x 40"), tightly wrapped, and not exceed 72 inches in height unless prior arrangements are made. Contractors are responsible for obtaining and complying with BOP National Menu Specifications prior to quoting. All certified religious diet items must be clearly marked with the Kosher Symbol (OU) on individual packages. The Government reserves the right to conditionally receive items for up to three days for examination and testing; items failing to meet specifications will be refused and must be picked up by the vendor at their own expense within one week, or the Government will dispose of them. Milk may be delivered in crates of either 70 units (preferred) or 50 units per crate. Contractor failure to meet delivery schedules without excusable delay or failure to conform to specifications will negatively impact the contractor's past performance record and may affect future award eligibility. The primary delivery contact is Robert Robey at RRobey@bop.gov or 718-840-5308.
