USP Canaan Spray Foam Installation Question/Clarifications 2nd Site Visit
1. During the initial site visit, it was discussed that the Government intends for work to be performed on Thursdays and Fridays due to the 24-hour no-exposure requirement and the required 24-hour cure time. We understand from the RFI responses provided with Amendment 2 that the specified working hours (7AM – 3:30 PM) cannot be changed. Can the Government please clarify whether the affected areas may be closed to allow work to be performed in all or some of the areas on days other than Thursday and Friday?
Working hours for this project will 7am-3:30 PM. Affected areas may be closed on other days with prior approval in close coordination with the COR.
2. The period of performance, specifically the number of days required for completion, is not specified in the solicitation. Can the Government please clarify whether there is a minimum or maximum allowable timeframe for completing this work? If no specific timeframe has been established, does the Government have an anticipated or preferred duration for completion?

No, the Government does not have the exact measurements on each area
8. Is the ceiling a metal roof deck?
Yes
9. I saw you’ve shared the pictures in Amendment 001, is there a drawing for the warehouse too?
No
10. What’s the recommended adhesion temp to metal, that’s required?
Installer and product will determine this
11. Is there flexibility to schedule work in spring/summer 2026 (when temperatures reliably exceed 50°F), or is winter performance required?
Yes, work shall be completed by May 31, 2026
12. If winter is required, will conditional/limited warranties be accepted, or alternatives considered (e.g., contractor-provided temporary heating at additional cost)?
No
13. Are provisions available for pre-heating the space, and who would bear responsibility/cost?
Space already heated, any additional heating would be the responsibility of the Contractor
