About this file
This document appears to be an attachment to a federal contract opportunity for a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Upgrade and Replacement project. It provides detailed information about the existing PLC installations that need to be upgraded, including the SLC 5/05 and MicroLogix 1500 PLCs, I/O modules, and associated wiring and terminal blocks.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) for the PLC upgrade and replacement. The requirement is a competitive small business set-aside with an estimated value not to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. Proposals are due by 07/19/2024, and the award will be made using the Lowest-Price-Technically-Acceptable (LPTA) method. The selected vendor must comply with the specified FAR commercial provisions and clauses.

SLC 5/05 Upgrade Project Below are pictures of the three PLC installations we are looking to upgrade. First is the primary enclosure with the SLC 500 and its associated terminal blocks. Table #1 lists the individual I/O modules installed. There is also a DeviceNet module in this chassis in Slot 12 that goes to a remote I/O enclosure with Flex I/O (see Fig. 2). There is also a MicroLogix 1500 in this same room (see Fig. #3) to be replaced with a CompactLogix 5370. Following this section is a series of detailed pictures showing each I/O module and its associated Rockwell 1492 Series terminal blocks.
We have original drawings in paper format only at this time. These will be made available to the successful bidder. A copy of the ladder logic programming will also be delivered at the same time.

Figure 2 SLC 5/05 Remote I/O enclosure
Figure #3 shows a local MicroLogix 1500 with I/O attached. We want to replace this PLC with a CompactLogix 5370 and reuse the existing I/O modules. The small amount of I/O wired to the ML 1500 will move to other existing modules.
