About this file

This is a packaging requirements document (AFMC Form 158) for purchase instrument FD20202500236-00 related to a Memory Card procurement. The document specifies detailed wood packaging material (WPM) requirements in compliance with United Nations restrictions, requiring all wooden lumber, pallets and containers to be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56°C/133°F for 30 minutes, with certification from an American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) accredited agency.

The packaging instructions mandate commercial packaging per ASTM D3951-98 standards, with specific requirements for shipping container marking according to MIL-STD-129. Items exceeding 150 pounds, 108 inches in length, or 130 inches in girth plus length must be packaged on skidded crates or palletized for forklift handling. Containers must be marked "ASTM D3951 - NOT FOR OUTSIDE STORAGE" readable from 24 inches. The document includes three PACRNs (AAA, AAB, and AAC) for different line items, with the first requiring commercial packaging and the latter two requiring no packaging data.
