About this file

This document is a federal contract amendment for the Glen Canyon Dam Powerplant Cranes Modernization project issued by the Bureau of Reclamation's Upper Colorado Region. The amendment (No. 0003) extends the solicitation due date to October 3 at 1400 hours and addresses multiple contractor questions regarding crane modernization specifications, including details about building layouts, floor loading, control cabinets, brake systems, and wire rope requirements. Key updates include revisions to the Main Hoist speed specification (now confirmed at 3.63 ft/min raising and 5.80 ft/min lowering with a 150-ton load), clarification on lubricant types for crane components, and confirmation of motor and gearbox replacement scope. The Period of Performance is set from 12/01/2025 to 11/30/2028, with attachments providing additional technical details and site visit attendee information.
