Specification 140R4025R0001 Questions
1. A) Is it the owner’s expectation that the spreader beam will be taken off site to conduct a visual inspection, load test and certification of the spreader beam? There is no requirement to inspect or work on the spreader beam B) The spreader beam is rated for 600 tons do you want it tested to 125% of rated load? The spreader beam will not be worked on and will only be used for one load test when all four hooks are verified to work together C) Do you have a drawing or a picture of how the bottom of the spreader beam is attached to the rotor? The spreader beam is attached to the rotor by locking rings that fit around the rotor shaft and seat into slots in the rotor shaft
2. To accommodate the larger depth of the new VFD enclosures the catwalk and handrail in front of the panels will need to be slightly extended to meet NEC requirements. Are we to include the cost associated with extending the catwalk in our pricing? See previous question sheet for answer
3. Will the customer be supplying the test weights to load test the crane if so, who will be responsible for delivering the weights to underneath the crane? We will supply the weights for the load test. We will also deliver the weights to the powerhouse 3rd floor work area
4. Do you have an exact length of the hoist wire ropes? No, check the drawings for rope length, in addition, the spec has the information needed to calculate the approximate rope length
5. Can we re-use the wire raceway if needed? yes
