About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) amendment for a fire alarm and devices installation project at the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. The document addresses four key technical inquiries about the fire alarm system installation, including:

  1. Pull station locations: Confirming manual pull stations exist at front and back doors of the Moore House and in the outbuilding, with photographic evidence provided. 2. Annunciator equipment: The government has a Silent Knight 005860R annunciator but is uncertain of its compatibility with the Honeywell Silent Knight 6820 panels. 3. CAD backgrounds: No CAD backgrounds of the buildings are available. 4. Explosion-proof devices: The government indicates that any devices compatible with the Honeywell Silent Knight 6820 panels and software programming will be acceptable for areas like paint storage and finish shops.

1. On Moore house E3 riser diagram it lists manual pull stations front and back door. On sheet E2 there are no manual pull stations shown on the floor plan for the main house or the out building.

Please confirm location and quantity.

• Pull Stations do exist in the porch at both the front and back doors of the Moore House, and next to the door in the outbuilding just to the left as you walk in the door. Photos are below.

2. Is the annunciator in the maintenance complex to be supplied by the contractor or by the government?

• The government has a Silent Knight 005860R annunciator it can provide but is unsure if it is compatible with the 6820 Panels it is providing.

3. Will there be CAD backgrounds of the buildings available?

• CAD Backgrounds are not available.

4. In the list of acceptable components there are no explosion proof devices listed. What is acceptable for the paint storage and finish shop?

• The panels being provided by the government are Honeywell Silent Knight 6820 panels. Any devise that is compatible with these panels and the software programing for the other detectors/notification devises being provided by the vendor are acceptable.
