About this file
This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for the Bettles Visitor Center Heating System Replacement project. Amendment 0002, effective 04/09/2025, clarifies specific technical requirements and answers vendor questions related to the contract. Key technical clarifications include replacing the existing Bell and Gossett R 2-1/2 air separator with a new air/particle separator meeting specific performance characteristics, such as a pressure drop of no more than 1.9 psi and a minimum flow rate of 48 gpm. The Spirotherm Spirovent VDT200 is noted as a basis-of-design item.
The amendment also addresses commissioning services, confirming that these can be self-performed and that NEBB-certified Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) services are not required. Instead, commissioning will involve demonstrated performance and documented efficiency on a standard boiler inspection form. The project's period of performance is set from 07/01/2025 to 10/31/2025, and the contract will be a firm fixed-price arrangement issued by the National Park Service Alaska Regional Office located in Anchorage, Alaska.
