About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation (Solicitation No. 140P8624Q0051) for the transport of historic objects to the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park in San Francisco, California.

The amendment extends the deadline for receipt of offers to July 24, 2024 at 10am PDT and provides answers to vendor questions. The key details are:

  • The purpose is to transport historic objects, including some vehicles, to the park.
  • The contracting officer is Patty Payne and the COR is Todd Bloch.
  • Vendors had questions about whether the artifacts would be self-insured and whether photos of the artifacts could be provided (answers indicate insurance requirements are in the solicitation and a revised list with descriptions was provided).
  • The COR clarified that all vehicles/objects are expected to be movable, and the contractor should provide any necessary equipment like dollies or lifts.

Question 2: Can you send us some photos of the artifacts?

Answer Question 2: See attachment 007, List and

Description of Vehicles Revised.

Question 3: I see some of the vehicles do not have full mobility. I am assuming that would be up to us to solve for transportation.

Answer Question 3: The COR noticed that the description of the object/vehicles says some can't be rolled and believes that might be incorrect. We expect all the vehicles/objects to be movable/rollable. However, if they are not, we would expect the contractor to provide dollies, lifts etc. as needed to move the objects.
