Yes, of area and objects being moved.
Will contractor remove/demo shelving?
No.
Do objects need to be crated?
Depends on the object but not necessarily.

No, not at destination Location B, San Leandro Warehouse. Only on return to Location A under bid option B will items be unpacked and shelved.
Final page of inventory includes list of items to move only at Building E. No packing or transport for these items.
How much glass?
Some windows, doors, binnacles, navigation lights, and etc. NPS will include material description from the museum catalog on updated inventory on Monday, 8/3/2020.

Can photos be taken?
Yes, of area and objects being moved.
Can we use measurements for objects listed in the inventory?
Yes, but they were converted in the museum catalog system from inches/feet (US customary units) to the metric system and the contractor will need to confirm their accuracy. The pallet or type of storage may affect the size as well.
What is the inventory file format?
MS Excel

No, there are no ship models in the move as well none of the figureheads stored in the area will be included in the move.

Same answer as before, contractor’s standard liability insurance.

I noted that everything is tagged/labeled with the inventory id #.
Will NPS clear equipment and items on floor prior to the move to clear space for the contractor’s work?
Yes. NPS staff will clear supplies, equipment and museum objects that might obstruct the contractor’s work except for the large model of the ship Preussen and some artifacts that are off to the side of the area to be moved. Contractor will have to work around some of these objects.

Possibly, but the contractor should not rely on those limited supplies.
