About this file
This document consists of a Polarized Light Microscopy Test Report and Chain of Custody Form for asbestos analysis conducted by ORION Environmental Services.
The test report documents analysis of eight samples collected from Mt. Rainier National Park's Camp Mair project on January 5, 2026, with results reported on January 6, 2026. All samples tested negative (ND) for asbestos fibers using EPA Method 600/R-98/116. The samples included roofing materials, sealant, tar from four wall locations, vinyl sheeting with gray felt backing, spray foam, and insulation. Other fibers detected included fiberglass, cellulose, and man-made fibers. The report was analyzed by Ryan Fisher and reviewed by Steven McNeal. The Chain of Custody Form indicates the samples were collected by Mitch Anderson on January 21, 2025, with a 24-hour turn-around time requested. The form documents sample relinquishment and receipt by the laboratory, with final receipt documented on January 25, 2026. Per EPA guidelines, samples will be archived for 30 days then disposed of, and the report may only be reproduced with written approval from ORION Environmental Services.
