About this file
This file is a Request for Information (RFI) Answers document for Yosemite National Park's annual fire suppression inspection and testing contract (Solicitation 140P8526Q0026). The RFI responses address four key operational questions regarding the scope and logistics of the required work. Regarding equipment access, a scissor lift will be needed to inspect sprinkler heads in the El Portal Warehouse (EPQ 759) if close visual inspection is required. Hydrants are explicitly excluded from the scope of work. For building access, escorts provided by the National Park Service are mandatory when entering buildings and residential units; contractors will be provided addresses for scheduling purposes. Work access is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The parent solicitation seeks a single firm-fixed-price contract for fire equipment testing, maintenance, and inspection services and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This is a 100% small business set-aside (NAICS 541350, $11.5 million size standard) to be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government based on price, proposed project schedule, and past performance. The National Park Service, under the Department of the Interior, is the contracting agency, and the acquisition is treated as a commercial services procurement under FAR Subpart 12.6.
