Scope of Work (SOW) Project Title: Procurement and installation of three new insulated garage doors.

Installation of Three Wayne Dalton ThermoMark™ 5200 or Equivalent Overhead Doors Location: John Day Fossil Beds National Monument – Maintenance Shop 32651 Highway 19, Kimberly, OR 97848

1. Project Overview This SOW outlines the supply, delivery, and installation of three (3) insulated steel commercial overhead doors with integrated clear insulated windows, to be installed at the maintenance shop at John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. The specified doors shall be Wayne Dalton ThermoMark™ 5200 or an equivalent model, meeting or exceeding all required performance and construction characteristics. Brand Name or Equal FAR Clause 52.211-6 applies.

2. General Requirements

• Quantity of Doors: Three (3)

• Size: Approximately 10 feet by 10 feet per door

• Location: John Day Fossil Beds National Monument – Maintenance Shop

• Color: Bronze

• Scope of Work:

o Removal and disposal of existing doors and hardware o Delivery and installation of new doors o Installation of all necessary mounting hardware and seals o Testing and verification of full door functionality

3. Product Specifications/Salient Characteristics

3.1 Door Dimensions

• Size: Approximately 10' x 10'

• Shape: Rectangular overhead commercial doors

3.2 Insulation

• R-Value: Minimum of R-16

• Material: Polyurethane or equivalent high-performance insulation

3.3 Door Construction

• Material: Heavy-duty, reinforced steel panels

• Finish: Corrosion-resistant, UV-protected, weather-resistant gray exterior

• Durability: Built for heavy commercial use and all-weather performance

3.4 Windows

• Number: Three (3) clear windows per door

• Placement: Evenly spaced at the top section of the door

• Material: Clear polycarbonate or equivalent; impact and weather resistant

3.5 Seals

• Type: High-performance perimeter seals (top, bottom, and sides)

• Function: Minimize air leakage, dust entry, and moisture infiltration

3.6 Operation

• Mechanism: Manual operation with chain hoist

• Spring System: High-cycle torsion spring system for smooth operation

3.7 Aesthetic Requirements

• Color: Bronze

• Appearance: Free from visible defects upon installation

4. Installation Requirements

4.1 Pre-Installation

• Site Visit: Contractor is encouraged perform a site assessment to verify conditions and compatibility

• Structural Evaluation: Ensure existing door frames/openings are adequate or recommend necessary modifications (subject to NPS approval)

4.2 Installation Process

• Removal: Safely remove and dispose of the existing doors and hardware

• Mounting: Install new doors using manufacturer-recommended methods and hardware

• Seal Installation: Install all required seals for weather-tight performance

• Window Installation: Ensure secure, sealed installation of windows

4.3 Post-Installation

• Testing: Operate doors to ensure smooth, functional performance

• Seal Verification: Confirm integrity and effectiveness of installed seals

• Window Inspection: Check for clarity, security, and proper sealing

5. Warranty

• Duration: Minimum of one (1) year on both materials and labor

• Coverage: Repair or replacement of any defects or failures at no additional cost

6. Contractor Responsibilities

• Coordination: Work closely with the NPS to ensure minimal disruption and access to the site.

• Disposal: Remove and properly dispose of all old materials and debris

• Clean-Up: Leave the worksite clean and hazard-free at project completion

8. Final Acceptance

• A formal inspection by NPS will confirm compliance with contract specifications.

• Contractor is responsible for correcting any issues prior to final acceptance and payment.

10. Salient Characteristics of Wayne Dalton ThermoMark™ 5200 (or Equivalent) The installed doors must meet or exceed the following characteristics:

• R-16 Insulation Rating

• Heavy-duty steel construction

• Polyurethane core insulation

• Three clear windows at the top of each door

• Clear, durable polycarbonate or equivalent window material
