Attachment 3 Questions & Answers Olympic National Park

The following are questions/answers to supplement the Statement of Work in the solicitation, and in some cases may provide some different information than what is stated in the Statement of

Work. Where there are differences, quoters shall make pen and ink changes in those sections in the Statement of Work with the information provided in this Q and A.

QUESTION 1: If damage occurs to the hay from negligence of the feeders (i.e. leaving doors open) are we responsible for hay replacement?

ANSWER: No. If the hay is damaged because of a defect in the trailer, then yes.

QUESTION 2: Who is responsible for damage done to the trailers once they are placed on site (i.e. tree branch falling, employee accident, etc.)?

ANSWER: The trailers are contractor property; it is up to the contractor to decide whether or not to insure the trailers. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for the cost of insurance.

QUESTION 3: Can 53 foot trailers be used instead of 48 foot (reducing our carbon footprint and lowering the ultimate cost)?

ANSWER: A 53 foot trailer would be acceptable as there should be enough room to turn and park a longer trailer.
