About this file
This is Amendment #2 to solicitation 140P8126Q0021 for JOTR Security Intrusion System Upgrades, issued May 13, 2026, with an effective date of May 13, 2026. The amendment addresses 14 vendor questions and clarifications regarding the intrusion detection system (IDS) installation project at Lake Mabo (NPS, PWR). No additional time extension was granted for proposal submission.
Key project specifications clarified in this amendment include: ceiling configurations vary by building (administration building has drop ceiling, Buildings 100 and Black Rock Visitor Center have open ceilings, remaining buildings have crawlspaces); 150 user codes will be required; no partitions, outdoor hardware, remote management, or app functionality is needed; the systems require cellular service capability (with Verizon being the most prevalent service in the area, though no preference was stated); fire alarm panels must be upgraded to use cellular service and monitored by the same company as the security system; existing functional wiring and intrusion devices may be reused with new equipment; one year of warranty is required with no optional service years; current door contacts include both surface-mounted and recessed types across all buildings; and all replaced equipment should be disposed of rather than retained. The period of performance runs from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The contracting activity is PPL with contractor NPS, PWR – Lake Mabo located at 601 Nevada Way, Boulder City, NV 89005-2426.
