RFQ # 140P8124Q0050 Replace Doors at Death Valley Amendment #1: 7-22-24

Question: What campgrounds are located in DEVA that are closest to the project sites? Would NPS be able to reserve space at any of these campgrounds for contractor use for this project?

Answer: NPS will not be able to reserve campgrounds for contractor use. There are many hotels and other accommodations in the area.

Question: Regarding the Furnace Creek location, doors 101A and 102A—is the intention to replace just the glass and doors, or to also replace the aluminum frames?

Answer: The frames are failing. The entire units are to be replaced. These units are to be replaced on 101A.

Question: Regarding the Furnace Creek location, there is a large single pane of glass on the sidewall between doors 101A and102A—is this pane of glass to be replaced as well?

Answer: See updated Scope of Work with annotated photos showing sections to be replaced.
