Period of Performance-Phased Approach

Period of performance (POP): 180 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. The POP includes 3 distinct phases. The purpose of the phased approach is to allow for operational HVAC systems when necessary for actual weather conditions. (i.e., The NPS does not want to take down heat during winter months.). The replacement of piping in the tunnels is anticipated to be completed within phase 1. Some dates of the phases may be adjusted slightly based on weather conditions at the time. The contractor and Contracting Officer will mutually agree on these adjustments. The adjustments shall not change the 180-day POP. Phase One is contingent on the issuance of Notice to Proceed. (See 52.211-10 Commencement, Prosecution and Completion of Work) Phase two is expected to begin immediately after phase one is completed, however, the start date may be adjusted as mutually agreed as indicated above. Phase three is expected to begin on April 15, 2022 or as mutually agreed as indicated above.
