About this file

This document is a Questions and Responses file for the Canaveral National Seashore Feller House Exterior Rehabilitation project (Solicitation Number 140P5425R0021). The document addresses two key vendor inquiries: first, confirming that the contractor is responsible for removing Golden Silk Orb-Weaver spiders from the building, and second, requesting confirmation about an asbestos-containing material (ACM) survey for the existing concrete lap siding. The document indicates that the project involves rehabilitating the exterior of the Feller House, with specific attention to the ¼" concrete lap siding measuring approximately 12" X 24" panels, which contains asbestos and requires removal and disposal.

Could you please confirm who will be responsible for this removal?

Answer: contractor

2. In the SOW for the Rehab Fellers House Exterior, PMIS#219593, Section 2.1 mentions “On all four sides of the building, the existing siding is comprised of ¼” concrete lap siding of approximately 12” X 24” panels asbestos containing material (ACM)”, and in Section 4, the document refers to the ACM siding and its removal and disposal.

Do you have a survey confirming the presence of ACM that you can share?
