Parking passes for those two (2) spots will be provided showing they are associated with the work. Contractor vehicles found to be parking not in compliance with GRSM parking procedures and in areas not designated for parking, will be subject to enforcement actions.
14. Question: Project Duration / Helicopter Coordination
It was indicated that building demolition must be completed within 30 days, with helicopter lifts potentially continuing beyond that period.
Can you confirm whether a total project duration of 45 days is acceptable, assuming demolition is completed within 30 days and material removal continues thereafter?
a. Response: Per Section 23 of the SOW, the work is anticipated to take 4 week and that all work must be complete and NPS provided bunk house be vacated by
August 1, 2026. This requirement also says the contractor can propose a schedule which they feel the work can be completed, and the Park will review for approval.
Note that the NPS provided bunk house cannot be made available to the contractor beyond 4 consecutive weeks as indicated in Section 16 of the SOW.
15. Question: Will this equipment be dedicated for contractor use, or shared among multiple parties?
a. Shared, but the demolition project would take scheduling priority
16. Question: Will the current (construction) contractor be on site during demolition? We would like to understand if the rental equipment and the overflow lodging will be available for use on whenever the demolition contractor needs it, or if they will need to make reservation in advance if those resources are shared.
a. Yes, we will have a Crowder Construction person onsite during the demolition period. Reserving the office Conex boxes for overflow lodging in advance would be best to assure availability, but as needed reservations are possible. We have three office Conex boxes which at least one would be occupied by Crowder
Construction, but the other two could be made available. We will try to accommodate needs.
17. Question: In reviewing the revised statement of work, we noticed SECTION 01 40 00 requires the contractor be registered in the state the work is being performed in under 1.3 and personnel to be licensed in the state where the project is located and where licensing of the trade is regulated by the state under 1.4. Could these two items be changed to allow the contractor to be licensed and/or regulated in another state?
a. Response: Given the type work that is being performed, as long as the Contractor is licensed and is aware of the federal and state requirements needed to perform the work, in this chase demolition and disposal, they do not need to be licensed in the same state.
