About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to federal contract solicitation 140P5323R0050 from the National Park Service Southeast Region for the removal of vegetation and trees from bridges and tunnels. The yellow highlighted areas in the statement of work indicate the large trees to be removed at specific bridge locations, including the number of trees and their sizes. Invoices can be submitted bi-weekly or monthly. Vegetation is to be mulched but not in piles deeper than 3 to 4 inches. Woody debris under 2 inches can be removed by hand and piled in non-cleared areas, while larger trees can be limbed and pushed to the edges. The term "travel/admin" in the bid schedule refers to overhead, profit, and other costs of doing business such as lodging for out-of-town work.
