SITE VISIT INFORMATION

The National Park Service invites you to attend a site inspection to provide all material, labor, and supervision to Replace three (3) non-operational vertical platform lifts with three new vertical platform (wheelchair) lifts that are marine grade aluminum, and carry a stamped wind load rating up to 180mph and satisfies legislatively mandated requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) at on Battery Huger, within Fort Sumter in the Charleston Harbor Charleston, South Carolina. All installations, materials, and coatings must facilitate ease of operation and maintenance and emergency service calls must be responded to within twenty-four (24) hours. The Site Visit will be held at the time and place listed below:

LOCATION:

Fort Sumter National Monument 1214 Middle Street, Sullivan’s Island South Carolina, 29482 TIME: 10:00 am. (EST) DATE: Monday, June 14, 2021

The purpose of this inspection is for interested parties to ascertain the local conditions of the grounds at each location, which could materially affect conduct of operations and the cost thereof. All questions must be submitted electronically in writing to the Contracting Officer at the email address below NO LATER THAN 10:00am (EST) on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 (No telephonic questions will be accepted). A summary of questions and answers arising from the site inspection and/or review of the package will be provided to all prospective contractors as an amendment to the solicitation. Only those written answers provided to all offerors will be the Government's official response to questions.

Information provided at this site visit shall not qualify the terms and conditions of the solicitation and specifications. No oral questions will be accepted. Terms of the solicitation and specifications remain unchanged unless the solicitation is amended in writing. If an amendment is issued, normal procedures relating to the acknowledgment and receipt of solicitation amendments shall apply.

All questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer at: edward_dingle@nps.gov

We consider attendance at this site inspection vital to the preparation of a competitive and cost-effective quote, and to understand the total result desired by the Government. Failure to attend this inspection may not be used as an excuse for omissions or miscalculations in quotes. It is again emphasized that it is most advantageous for each contractor to have qualified representation at the site inspection. Coordination for attending the site visit shall be made through the site visit point of contact listed below. *NO individual site inspections will be offered nor conducted. All parties who plan to attend the site visit must RSVP no later than Friday June 11, 2021 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time.

COVID-19 Special Instructions: Pursuant to Executive Order (EO) 13991, in order to protect the Federal Workforce and individuals interacting with the Federal Workforce, and to ensure the continuity of Government services and activities, on-duty or on-site Federal contractors shall wear mask, maintain safe physical distance, and adhere to other public health measures as provided in the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. Therefore, the number of representatives from each interested firm/company attending this site visit shall be limited to one (1) that must adhere to these instructions.
