About this file

This document is an Amendment (Amendment 0003) to a federal contract solicitation for rehabilitation work at Building 201 in the Jamaica Bay unit of GATE. The scope of work includes replacing the existing wooden porch with tongue and groove composite decking material (approximately 43' x 10'), replacing wooden railings to meet ABA standards, replacing six wooden columns, replacing the ribbon board, and replacing trim boards with cementitious fiberboard. All new components must be painted to match existing colors and maintain the original profile and aesthetic. The contractor is required to submit shop drawings and material specifications for approval prior to beginning construction, ensuring the renovation meets specified requirements for the U.S. Park Police Marine Patrol Unit facility.

The accompanying images show the current condition of the porch and building, depicting weathered wooden steps, deteriorating columns, and white-painted wooden railings, which substantiate the need for the proposed rehabilitation work. The building appears to be a brick structure with multiple chimneys, located within a fenced area, and marked with U.S. Park Police signage.
