About this file
This document is an Amendment 0002 containing Requests for Information (RFIs) and Government Responses for the BLVR Ethernet Security Install project at Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park (Solicitation 140P4326Q0030). The RFIs address technical and logistical questions regarding fiber and ethernet installation, camera mounting, and electrical work across multiple buildings, primarily Slater Mill and Wilkinson.
Key government-approved decisions include: fiber link conduit installation in attic space alongside existing conduit; ethernet outlet installation (not camera) per Exhibit 10; elimination of one of ten (x4) locations in room 208; deferral of existing cable demolition until new network links are operational; consolidation of Verizon Fiber connection to a single ethernet cable run from the closet to the copier area; removal of shelves and brackets in area 209 by National Park Service; cable routing in attic and mini-hallway spaces behind office walls in Wilkinson building; dusk-to-dawn floodlight installation with removal of existing emergency floodlight; conduit installation in stairwells; molding installation for ethernet cables and outlets on the 2nd floor of Wilkinson; and an additional dedicated electrical outlet for the network cabinet in room 207 of Slater Mill. Several responses indicate that exact technical details require government approval before work commences, particularly regarding cable routing methods and electrical wire installation paths.
