About this file
This is a Contractor Questions and Answers document for solicitation 140P4226Q0018, addressing vendor inquiries regarding wallpaper reproduction services for the Maggie Walker National Historic Site in Richmond, Virginia, under the Department of the Interior National Park Service Northeast Region.
The document clarifies key project parameters and vendor access to materials. No planned site visit is scheduled, but individual visits can be arranged by contacting Ethan Bullard at 804-226-5045. Historic wallpaper samples will be provided to the selected contractor upon contract award, and vendors may capture high-resolution photographs on site during visits. The reproduction work will be based on historical fragments rather than complete, undamaged pattern repeats, with original pattern widths varying and unspecified due to the limited availability of full-width or full-repeat samples. Quantities for each pattern and room were validated by a technical expert rather than a professional wallpaper installer. This information indicates that vendors should anticipate working with incomplete historical documentation and fragments to guide their reproduction efforts.

There is no planned site visit currently. To arrange an individual site visit, please contact Ethan Bullard at 804-226-5045.
