Questions and Answers

July 7, 2025

Q1. Is the project considered as a potential new requirement or is there an incumbent contract currently performing these services? If there are incumbent vendor(s), would you be able to provide the contract details (such as: Vendor Name, Contract Number, Award and end dates, total contract value)?

A1. This is a new requirement.

Q2. Is an estimated value available for this effort?

A2. No.

Q3. Do the duct detectors have remote test switches?

A3. This is unknown.

Q4. Where the Sprinkler systems are mentioned on the list, is it only one on site?

A4. See Inventory list provided in solicitation. There are 11 locations listed. All buildings may be assumed to have a single system unless specified otherwise.

Q5. I didn’t see any quantities listed. Just wet or dry so I wanted to double check. I saw the flows and tampers outlined.

A5. See Inventory list provided in solicitation. All buildings may be assumed to have a single system unless specified otherwise.

Q6. For the frequencies of inspections, is it annual for fire alarm, semi-annual for suppression, and quarterly for sprinklers?

A6. For frequencies, please review the Statement of Work, specifically subsection 4.2 Applicable Codes and Standards, and section General 5.0 Requirements. It is also recommended to review NFPA 25 as a starting point.

Q7. Are the previous inspection reports available?

A7. No.

Q8. Concerning the requirement to be certified in all on-site panels, would it be acceptable to partner with a certified distributor for the programming of proprietary systems, while our team handles the inspections?

A8. Yes, as long as together, your firm and subcontractor meet all requirements of the Statement of Work and provide required submittals to satisfy the evaluation factors of the Solicitation.

Q9. A 60-day timeline for pump replacement is specified. Given that equipment lead times can vary, is there flexibility in this deadline to accommodate potential supply chain delays beyond our control?

A9. Upon additional market research regarding this timeline, the SOW has been updated to reflect a 120 day period of performance for the pump replacement. Following any potential award, delays beyond that POP would require consideration from any potential contractor to warrant extension of the POP. Quoters are strongly encourages to ensure they can meet all requirements before providing a quote.
