About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the LEWI AV Upgrade project at Lewis & Clark National Historic Site. The Q&A covers key technical, operational, and administrative details for potential contractors, including system requirements, installation constraints, and compliance specifications. Notable highlights include: the project requires a 5.1 capable audio-visual system with 4K video capabilities, will be installed during staff hours (7am-6pm PST), and is a total small business set-aside contract. Equipment must comply with Section 889 requirements, and existing conduit can be reused. The Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) will approve system design, and the project includes a one-year warranty. Substitutions are allowed if they meet compliance standards, and no specific certifications are required for contractors. The project does not require network connectivity, and the system will be intentionally offline.
