Removal of Impacted Soil at Alder Camp Road Firing Range Attachment 4b: Clarifications 20 - 21
Redwood National Park
Clarifications 20 – 21 for Solicitation #140P2124R0008
Amendment 2 posted on 2/2/24
Questions 1 – 19 were answered in Attachment 4a.
Questions from prospective offerors received by 1/30/24
20. Regarding the NPS-provided fill in Statement of Work (SOW) 7.3.1, are there any site restoration or stormwater BMPs requirements to be implemented at the borrow site?
a. No stormwater BMPs or site restoration is required at the borrow sites. Contractor is expected to maintain existing conditions at borrow sites. Fill is stockpiled in piles at sites accessible for loading.
b. Contractor will be required to coordinate with NPS staff to schedule site access behind NPS locked gates.
21. Will the RCRA soil in CLIN 6 require stabilization at the landfill prior to disposal or will it meet LDR requirements and be suitable for direct disposal?
a. This is unknown. On-Site stabilization is not allowed. Stabilization at the landfill depends on the landfill’s requirements and the waste profile, after the contractor follows the waste characterization process in SOW Section 6.5.2.
