52Specification Section 41 22 03.07 paragraph 2.02 A.1. identifies a requirement for two (2) Portable Davits with Davit Crane Bases identified in paragraph 3.a.4) to be mounted at the Influent Pump Station (Facility 10), and at the Effluent Storage Tank (Facility 70) should Bid OPTION A be awarded. Paragraph 2.02 B. is for Personnel Davits which appears to be a requirement in addition to the Portable Davits under 2.02 A. Paragraph 2.02 B.4.b. identifies Fixed Davit Bases to be installed in the following quantities and to “see the Drawings for specific locations.” Facility 10 Influent Pump Station shows to install 1, however there is only 1 davit crane base location identified on Plan Sheet 89 (10S130) which we understand is for the Portable Davit identified in 2.02A, and not a second davit crane base shown for a Personnel Davit. Facility 20 Process Building 1 shows to install 11 davit crane bases, but Plan Sheet 105 identified a quantity of 9. Facility 25 Process Building 2 shows to install 2 davit crane bases, but no locations have been found in the Facility 25 drawings. Facility 70 Effluent Storage Tank shows to install 1, however there is only 1 davit crane base location identified on Plan Sheets 252 (70S130) & 256 (70D131) which we understand is for the Portable Davit identified in 2.02A, and not a second davit crane base shown for a Personnel Davit. Please clarify quantities of Personnel Davit Cranes required, and quantities and locations of Davit Crane Bases to be installed.AEThere are requirements for davit cranes under both 2.02.A and 2.02.B. At Facility 10, two davit cranes are required (one of which for personnel mounted to vertical face of concrete underneath hatch) in addition to the one shown on structrual and process plans. At Facility 20, sheet 10S130 is correct showing 9 locations for personnel davit bases. At Facility 25, two personnel davit crane bases are required and will be installed next to the ladder tie off locations. At Facility 70, 6 davit cranes are required (five of which for personnel mounted to vertical face of concrete underneath hatches) in addition to the one shown on structrual and process plans at hatch above spray field pumps. Locations of cranes will be added to conformed construction drawings issued prior to NTP.
53“Keynote 11 on Plan Sheet 33 shows a 6’ Ornamental Aluminum Fence around the perimeter of the WWTP site, including where the WWTP site retaining wall is located. Detail A on Plan Sheet 43 shows the retaining wall extending 6’ minimum above the outer finish grade, which will provide access control and fall protection from the outside of the plant, and does not show a 6’ fence mounted on top of the wall. We believe the intent is to include the aluminum fencing on the west and north sides of the WWTP and not to include the aluminum fencing on the south and east sides of the WWTP site where the retaining wall already provides appropriate protections. Please clarify and confirm intent.”AENote 11 is incorrect. The fence is only on the west and north face. The concrete wall is on the south and east face and extends 6' above grade.
