Morris Text Box Additional Dredging Notes:

- Contractor shall submit a Dredging Disposal Plan to the CO a minimum of thirty (30) calendar days prior to any dredging work being performed.

- Multibeam survey technology shall be utilized for the collection of bathymetry survey data. Contractor shall submit to Contracting Officer (CO) proposed vessel, survey technologies, and qualified personnel a minimum of fourteen (14) calendar days prior to any dredging work being performed.

- Fourteen (14) calendar days prior to any dredging work being performed the contractor shall provide written Notice of Start of Dredging to the Contracting Officer (CO).

- The Contractor shall perform all pre-dredge survey work and submit results to the CO seven (7) calendars prior to mobilization for the pre-dredge work.

- The collected survey data shall be post-processed into a 2 foot by 2 foot matrix using the average depth of all depths recorded in a cell. This approach will be utlized for the TIN volume computations, following the procedures outlined in EM 1110-2-1003.

- The volume for measurement will include the material within side slopes, less any deductions that may be required for misplaced material.

- Post-dredge surveys shall be submitted to the CO for final acceptance 7-days prior to demobilization of the dredging equipment. Should any shoals, lumps or other lack of contract depth be disclosed by this examination, the Contractor is required to remove the shoals, lumps, or other lack of contract depths by dredging at no additional cost to the Government.

- Contractor is required to perform both pre- and post-bathymetric surveys for storm events which are anticipated to generate >5 foot significant wave heights approximately 500 feet offshore from the project site. These surveys shall be conducted as incidental to the Unit Price for Dredging. The surveys will provide a quantification of whether the additional materials have moved into the dredge area.
