Subject: Supplemental Pre-proposal Site Visit (03/13/2024) Minutes
Reference: Solicitation 140P2024R0026, Project CATO 250011, Rehabilitate Parkwide Utilities, FAR 52.236-27 Site Visit (Construction)
A second, supplemental Pre-proposal Site Visit was held on 3/13/2024 for the subject solicitation. This supplemental site visit was conducted to allow for inspection of some locations unavailable at the 2/22/2024 site visit due to weather conditions.
The site visit was led by Troy Strawn, Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist, Catoctin Mountain Park. The site visit began at 10:00 AM. Attendees met at Camp Round Meadow.
Mr. Strawn gave a brief overview of the project and which areas of the park that would be visited. Mr. Strawn notified attendees to submit all questions in writing to the CO and CS.
The first location visited was the Jim Brown well house behind the Salt Shed. The second location visited was the 5Alpha well head in the Horse Trailer parking lot. The third location visited was Camp Greentop, and the group walked back to the Lift Station. The fourth location visited was along Park Central Road near the future Central Water Treatment Building area. The group did not walk very far back into that location as there are still trees down from the Working Feller Training Course that removed 53 trees. The fifth location visited was Camp Misty Mount; the group stopped near the lower loop where the future utilities will cut through the forest from Misty Mount to the Visitor Center. The group departed Camp Misty Mount at approximately 12:00 PM, and the site visit concluded.
The attendance sheet is attached.
