Backflow inspections, testing and reporting – GRCA
Question # Question Answer/Response
1. Section 2.1 states 313 assemblies will be tested. In
Section 2.3 an additional 16 assemblies are required for this RFQ. I noticed in the on page 43 of 86 of the SOW it was stated currently 177 Park owned assemblies and 258
NPS-GRCA assemblies are managed for a total of 435.
How many backflow assemblies are required to be inspected, tested, reported, and maintained?
Cross Connection Control &
Backflow Prevention Program is informational for how the larger program is managed – not the authoritative source for the number of assemblies.
Use the assemblies listed in the table for inspection, testing, and reporting requirements which is 313 total.
2. Is it required to have general liability insurance coverage and if so, how many is required?

Contracting Officer: Taylor Jones, taylor_jones@ios.doi.gov, 520-780-9294 may adversely affect the interest of the Government in such insurance.
The certificate shall identify the contract number, the name and address of the Contracting Officer, as well as the insured, the policy number and a brief description of contract services to be performed.
The contractor shall furnish the
Contracting Officer with a copy of an acceptable insurance certificate prior to beginning the work.
3. Are there any reclaim water assemblies that are required to be tested, and if so, how many? These assemblies will have to be tested with a Non-potable- Reclaim Water approved tester gauge.
No reclaim assemblies are on the list to be tested. Mention of reclaim in the assemblies listed in the table for inspection is because it is in a facility that also has reclaim water but there are no reclaim backflow.
4. According to the SOW, tester requirement from GRCA recognizes ABPA. Do the attached certifications meet your requirement?
We will not review prior the close of the solicitation. If certificates meet the requirements outlined in the solicitation and/or amendment
#2 details, then that is all that is required.
5. Is the digital Mako MK 5 tester gauge approved for this solicitation along with the calibration certificate?
Yes, acceptable.
