About this file

This is a Questions and Answers amendment to a federal solicitation for sanitation and water delivery services at the Grand Canyon National Area (GRCA). Amendment 0001 to Solicitation 140P1526Q0086, issued by the National Park Service Contracting Operations—Central in Washington, DC, addresses clarifications from potential bidders regarding service delivery logistics and infrastructure responsibilities.

The Q&A document clarifies several operational requirements. Water delivery tanks can be staged at alternative locations accessible to 42-foot trucks, though preferred staging at predetermined locations would require a 2,000-gallon water tanker truck. This is a new contract with no incumbent contractor. The shower infrastructure consists of six commercially available stalls being constructed by the National Park Service at the time of award; these are not trailers and the contractor is not required to provide generators for shower stalls. The Contracting Officer is Taylor Jones (Taylor_A_Jones@nps.gov, 520-780-9294). No other solicitation clauses or dates have been modified by this amendment.

Sanitation and water delivery – GRCA

Questions and Government Responses listed below:

Question # Question Answer/Response

1. Will a 42-foot truck with a tanker trailer be able to access the tanks or will this require strictly a tanker truck? For the potable water delivery

Water delivery: Tanks could be staged in a location where a 42ft truck could deliver water. It would be an element of a better offer if they could be staged at their predetermined staging locations, however, which would not accommodate a 42ft tractor trailer. A

2000 gallon water tanker would be able to access those predetermined locations.

2. We are performing independent research on the Combined

Synopsis/Solicitation (140P1526Q0086). We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number and what the total contract value was?

This combined synopsis/solicitation is a new contract.

3. Can we confirm if the shower system are trailers and are provided by the government? Can we confirm how many trailers and stalls?

The shower stalls are being constructed by the National Park

Service. They are not trailers, however, the stalls are commercially available. There are six total shower stalls at the time of award.

4. Will the contractor need to provide a generator for any of the trailers? and how long?

The National Park Service does not expect the contractor to provide a generator for any of the shower stalls.
