AMENDMENT 1

Solicitation #140P1423R0016 Replace Above Ground Fuel Storage Tanks, Dinosaur National Monument

Questions and Answers:

Question 1: The project documents state a completion date of Nov 31st. We do not anticipate it being possible based on current manufacturer lead times to have new tanks by then. Would it be possible to procure the tanks over the winter, and do the work spring of 2024?

Response 1: This is acceptable to the National Park Service. Work shall be completed no later than May 30, 2024.

Question 2: Additionally, this project would likely require asphalt replacement, which would need to be done in conjunction with tank work, and also move to spring. Is that acceptable?

Response 2: This is acceptable as long as the removal and replacement are done in a reasonable time frame. The asphalt cannot be left unrepaired over the winter.

Question 3: The project documents require a card reader system (a PV100 with 81 cards). The PV100 does not take cards. If cards are required, we would suggest a PV200 or maybe a Fuelmaster system. Are cards a requirement, and if so, should Contractor change to a card compliant system, or stick with the system specified?

Response 3: A combination pin with card system is preferred per Section 5.0-12.a. of the SOW. If a PV200 accomplishes the intent of this section, it would be acceptable.

Question 4: Typically, at completion of the installation, the Park (or customer entity) will fill the fuel tank via an existing contract that the park already has, versus the contractor charging the park to get fuel from the same source. Is there a known entity providing fuel to the park, and if so can their name/any contact info be provided? Would the park rather provide fuel at completion of the work to avoid the installing Contractor's markup?

Response 4: The contractor shall provide 100 gallons of each fuel type, or the minimum required by the equipment manufacturer for testing and training, whichever is greater.
