About this file
This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division for the Virginia, District of Columbia, and Maryland region.
The wage determination (No. 2015-4281, Revision 37, effective 5/14/2026) establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for service contract employees working in specified geographic areas: Virginia counties including Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church, Fauquier, Loudoun, Manassas Park, Prince William, and Stafford; all counties in the District of Columbia; and Maryland counties of Charles and Prince George's. The determination covers over 200 occupational classifications spanning administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, health occupations, information technology, instructional occupations, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical occupations, and transportation. Wage rates range from $15.47 per hour for furniture handlers to $60.66 per hour for maintenance test pilots. All listed occupations receive fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly or $222.00 weekly/$962.08 monthly) or $5.89 per hour under Executive Order 13786 ($283.60 weekly/$882.27 monthly). Employees are entitled to two weeks paid vacation after one year of service, three weeks after five years, and four weeks after fifteen years, plus a minimum of eleven paid holidays annually. Special pay differentials apply for hazardous work (4-8% increases) and night/Sunday work (10% increases plus 25% Sunday premium). Computer professionals may be exempt if meeting specific compensation and duty requirements outlined in 29 C.F.R. Section 541. Uniform costs are reimbursable when they reduce wages below the determined rate. Contractors must conform unlisted job classifications using Standard Form 1444 procedures requiring contracting officer approval within specified timeframes.
