About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document related to the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site life/safety systems replacement project. The Q&A addresses technical clarifications regarding drawings, existing infrastructure, cable management, and system compatibility for the fire alarm, intrusion alarm, CCTV, and door access control system replacement initiative.
Key technical clarifications include: drawing formats are limited to those already provided with no additional .dwg files available; the NVR plywood shelf location can accommodate a small wall-mount rack; double door configuration drawings are not available as the planned configuration matches existing lower-level doors; all available security-related construction drawings have been provided; existing intrusion devices include wireless components; cables may be reused where possible with no known issues identified; exterior cables may be surface-mounted if color-matched and neatly aligned with building structure, while interior cables must be concealed; and the existing Lenel door access control system is obsolete and requires complete replacement/upgrade, with system ID and spare license information unavailable. This document provides essential technical guidance to potential contractors regarding design constraints, existing infrastructure conditions, and specific requirements for the systems replacement work at this Department of the Interior National Park Service facility.
