The purpose of this solicitation is to respond to questions received during the solicitation phase.
Question 1: Just to clarify on the exact number of trees to be serviced, I count two. Is that correct or is it more?
Answer 1: Yes, Two Trees
Question 2: Would it be possible to set up a site visit to see the trees in person to give an accurate quote?
Answer 2: Yes, on 08/30/2024 - 10:00am to 11:00am
Question 3: During what month does the BLM want this work to be performed?
Answer 3: Any day after November 1st, 2024, thru end of February 2025 (BLM needs least a week notice prior to any mobilization or work to begin)
Question 4: I understand the removal of DEAD and DISEASED on the entire tree. Do you request removal of ALL the limbs over the house or just the D and D? Are the limbs over the house all considered hazardous?
Answer 4: Yes, we would like the removal of all DEAD and DISEASED limbs on the entire tree; however, limbs over the house that are sturdy and strong are okay if they do not oppose an immediate threat to visitors or faculties
Question 5: On the Secondary Tree -- Does the Description say that you want all of the cutting to be left on the Ground? In the picture there is a large branch on the east side of the Soddy and another Large branch elevated on existing other branches on the west side of the Soddy.
Do you want both of these limbs downed and left on the ground?
Answer 5: All tree limbs shall be cut and left on the ground.
Question 6: Would it be possible to get a bucket truck in there or does it require a climber?
Answer 6: Yes, both bucket & climber can fit and be used
