About this file
This document is a set of questions and answers related to a federal solicitation for 2,000 tons of alfalfa hay to be delivered to the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Rock Springs Wild Horse and Burro Facility in Wyoming. The solicitation allows the contractor to use block heaters for the equipment during the winter months in Wyoming to ensure the machines can start. The solicitation does not specify Relative Feed Value (RFV) requirements, but the BLM has indicated that hay with an RFV of 125 or higher is acceptable. The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 111940, Hay Farming, with a size standard of $2,500,000.00. Quotations are due by August 26, 2024, and the performance period is from September 15, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
