About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 140L3926Q0012, addressing clarifications on seasonal fire housing requirements for the Winnemucca District under the Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Nevada Region.

The Q&A clarifies key contract parameters: pricing should exclude taxes due to tax-exempt status; no per-diem requirements apply; nine rooms are required for the full performance period (May 1, 2026 through November 30, 2026) with potential early departures, while a tenth room is optional under identical terms. All bedrooms must be single occupancy, though common areas may be shared. Housing accommodations are flexible and may consist of hotel rooms, apartments, houses, or other housing types meeting the specified requirements in the statement of work—contractors are not limited to hotels if alternative housing solutions meet the standards. FEMA codes are not a mandatory requirement for lodging accommodations, and hotels that have submitted FEMA applications are acceptable alternatives.
