About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 140L3726Q0056 Amendment 0001, dated 05/27/2026, addressing clarifications related to a survey contract with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
The document clarifies key deliverables and project timelines for the contract period of performance running from July 1, 2026, to August 1, 2027. Written deliverables include a Historic Context, post-fieldwork progress report, draft and final survey reports, applicable OAHP site and IF forms, and GIS data. The final report must be submitted to BLM by August 1, 2027, with fieldwork to be completed sufficiently in advance to allow for draft report submission within 60 days of field completion, BLM review (30 days), and revisions prior to final report submission (30 days). The BLM will provide a geodatabase and/or shapefile template prior to fieldwork commencement. No specific sub-meter accuracy requirement is mandated for GIS data points; however, contractors are responsible for independently verifying that field GPS equipment is correctly configured and achieving accuracy prior to data collection. Background research materials will be available digitally through Compass, OAHP, or SLVFO, eliminating the requirement for an in-person field office visit.

Questions and Answers 05/27/2026
1. Is there a specific date that the survey needs to be completed by? The POP is July 01, 2026, to August 01, 2027.
The final report will need be submitted to BLM by 8/1/27, and there isn't a more specific time frame for when the fieldwork needs to be completed. However, they will need to complete the fieldwork with enough time to write the draft report (submitted to BLM within 60 days of completing field work), have BLM review the draft report (30 days for BLM to review), and make changes before submitting the final report (30 days).
2. Are these the only written deliverables for this contract: the Historic Context, the post-fieldwork progress report, the draft and final survey report, applicable OAHP site and IF forms, and GIS data.
Yes, those are the written deliverables.
3. Will the BLM shapefile template be provided prior to the start of the fieldwork?
Yes, the BLM can provide a geodatabase and/or shapefile template.
4. Is there a specific sub-meter accuracy required for GIS data points?
No, there is not. However, contractors are responsible for independently verifying that field GPS equipment is correctly configured and achieving this accuracy prior to data collection.
5. Does the SLVFO require an in-person field office visit for the background research prior to fieldwork or is all the information available digitally?
No, the SLVFO doesn't require an in-person field office visit. Most forms should be available digitally through Compass, OAHP or SLVFO.
