Punta Gorda Light Station Rehabilitation Solicitation No. 140L1222R0002 Clarifications, Offeror Questions and Government Answers 2/27/22
Clarifications Clarification 14: Stairs. It has been determined that the existing stairs in the lighthouse building are most likely not made from cast iron. Therefore, the Government will not require the Contractor to use cast iron at the material for the stairs replacement. The Government will accept the use of a compatible substitute material (such as steel) if it has the same appearance, scale, strength, and function as the original. This clarification supersedes any conflicting direction given by the Government regarding the stair materials found in other solicitation documents.
