1.0 INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
This Statement of Work (SOW) is for the installation of a perimeter security fence system with automated and manual gate access at the United States Geological Survey's (USGS) Columbia River Research Laboratory (CRRL), located at 201 Oklahoma Road, Willard, Washington 98605.
USGS requires a comprehensive security fencing solution to secure the property perimeter while maintaining necessary access points for vehicles, personnel, and emergency services. The CRRL currently lacks adequate perimeter security, and this installation will establish clear boundaries with controlled access through multiple gate systems. The fence installation will follow the layout shown on the attached sketch and is approximately 1,60030 linear feet of perimeter fencing (including gates) with multiple access points strategically positioned for operational efficiency and emergency access.
2.0 SCOPE
The scope of this project encompasses the complete design, procurement, installation, and testing of a perimeter security fence system including automated and manual access gates at the specified property location. The contractor shall install approximately 1,60030 linear feet (including gates) of 67-foot black vinyl-coated chain link fencing with barbed wire topping, one 24-foot automated sliding gate with electronic access control system, two 1624-foot manual swinging gates (each of which will be two 812-foot, double gates that meet in the middle), and one heavy-duty 4-foot pedestrian man gate at the main entrance adjacent to the automated sliding gate.
The contractor's responsibilities include site preparation and layout, fence post installation, fence fabric installation, gate installation and alignment, electronic gate control system installation and programming, access control device installation and configuration, electrical connections from pre-installed conduit to gate operator system, and final system testing and demonstration.
