About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file for Request for Quotations (RFQ) 140G0125Q0094, which provides clarifications for a federal contract opportunity involving the delivery and installation of eight office cubicles for the U.S. Geological Survey Wetland and Aquatic Research Center in Gainesville, Florida. The document contains two amendments addressing key vendor inquiries, including site visit requirements (not mandatory), delivery logistics, electrical installation specifications, and panel/door configurations.

Key details include electrical wiring requirements (110v single phase, connected to a single power point), panel height acceptance (80"-85"), mandatory sliding doors, and a delivery timeline extension from 30 to 45 days after receipt of order. The USGS will provide a forklift for unloading, requires four business days' notice before installation, and the installation room is located on the ground floor with no entry stairs. Vendors must be registered in SAM.gov and submit quotes to Daniel Galvin by approximately 04/02/2025, with an anticipated contract award date of 04/09/2025.

Amendment 0002

Hence, are we supposed to connect the electrical wiring from the cubicles to the power source? If so, do we have to pull out electrical power source or what type of power source is it going to be?

a. The Contractor will be required to connect the cubicle electrical wiring to the power source.

all cubicles will be connected to a single point for connection to the buildings main power.

The power for the cubicles will all be 110v single phase, so they would be required to wire the cubicles with the appropriate gauge wiring to handle the amp load.

6. Would 82.5” panel height be acceptable.

a. Yes. The Statement of work has been revised to state the minimum height for the panels is

80” and the maximum is 85”.

7. Would hinged doors be acceptable in lieu of sliding doors?

a. No. Sliding doors are required.
