140G0124Q0236 Amendment 2 Q&A

Question# 1: What does the Government have in mind and what did they expect for restoration?

Answer: Please reference the Statement of Work and the SAM.gov description posting. Gage needs to be removed and yard to be graded and seeded to match the existing grade/yard/landscape.

Question #2: Do the property owners know that we need access and what kind of waivers and insurance requirements are needed?

Answer: The USGS has an access agreement with the homeowner for the demolition Gage structure and restoration of the yard. No, waivers at this time. There are no performance or payment bonds if the quote is under $35,000.00. For insurance please reference clause 1452.228-70.

Question #3: Can the vendor bring the equipment onto the property?

Answer: Equipment can be brought onto the property like a small excavator. Large equipment isn’t expected nor would it fit. A small section of the fence will need to be removed/replaced. There is some hardscaping that needs to be protected/fixed.
