About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the replacement of five non-insulated garage doors at Welaka National Fish Hatchery's Welaka Unit facility located at 726 County Road 309, Welaka, FL 32193. The project involves removing five deteriorated 10' x 9' garage doors and installing new hurricane-rated sectional doors with low overhead track systems to accommodate the facility's limited head clearance. The contractor must be experienced in replacing garage doors in Florida and will have a 40-day performance period, working normal duty hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with any non-duty hours requiring approval from the Hatchery Project Leader.
The scope of work includes teardown of existing doors, tracks, springs, cables, door trim, and spring pads, with metal and wood separated for hatchery recycling. New doors must be commercially-rated, non-insulated, dark brown in color, manually opened from the outside, and equipped with external locks keyed to open with a single master key. The doors must withstand Putnam County, Florida wind load requirements and include pull-down ropes to aid in closing. All doors require a minimum 10-year warranty and must function properly upon completion. Government acceptance is contingent upon delivery of fully operational, easily-used lockable doors. The contractor will be evaluated on door color approval by the Acting Project Leader and warranty compliance. No government-furnished equipment will be provided.
