About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the replacement of five non-insulated garage doors at Welaka National Fish Hatchery's Welaka Unit facility located at 726 County Road 309, Welaka, FL 32193. The project requires removal of existing doors, tracks, springs, cables, door trim, and spring pads, with metal and wood sorted for recycling. The contractor must install new hurricane-rated 10' x 9' commercial sectional non-insulated doors in dark brown color with manual external opening and low overhead tracks designed to withstand wind load requirements for Putnam County, Florida. All doors must be fitted with external locks keyed identically to operate with a single key, include pull-down ropes for closing assistance, and function properly upon completion. The contractor should be experienced in replacing garage doors in Florida.
Performance specifications require a minimum 10-year warranty on doors, cables, rollers, torsion springs, door trim, tracks, spring pads, external locks, and all associated hardware, with a minimum one-year labor warranty for installation. Work must be completed within a 40-day performance period during normal duty hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with non-duty hours requiring approval from the Hatchery Project Leader. Government acceptance is contingent upon doors functioning properly and being easy to use. Quality control requirements include dark brown color approval by the Acting Project Leader and verification of the 10-year warranty on all doors. No government-furnished equipment will be provided. Appendix A contains photographs documenting door measurements, clearances, and facility conditions to support contractor planning.
