Clarifica ons Amendment 0008
Clarifica ons in Blue
1. I am wondering about the generator on this project. In the plans it talks about demoing which involves removing and salvaging parts to be put in the shop 500 feet to the north. In the specifica ons, it talks about a new genset, so if this project gets a new generator and the awardee will have to install the old generator at the shop. Or if this project is rese ng the exis ng generator for the new building.
a. On sheet ES101, Keynote #15 states: “REMOVE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION TO EXISTING
ENGINE/GENERATOR AND DEMOLISH EXISTING CONDUIT/CONDUCTORS BACK TO THE
SOURCE OF POWER. SALVAGE FROM DEMOLITION EXISTING BREAKERS, DISCONNECT
SWITCHES, PANELBOARDS, ETC FOR RELOCATION TO SHOP BUILDING. FIELD COORDINATE
ALL WORK WITH GC. GC TO SALVAGE AND RELOCATE EXISTING ENGINE/GENERATOR AND
MOVE APPROXIMATELY 500' NORTH TO SHOP BLDG. PROVIDE NEW
CONDUIT/CONDUCTORS, BREAKERS, ETC TO REINSTALL EXISTING ENGINE/GENERATOR IN
SHOP BLDG.” The new building will get it’s own new generator and the exis ng generator will be relocated and reinstalled in the shop building.
