A. The purpose of this amendment is to respond to contractor questions, provide Government responses and provide an updated interested vendors list.
B. The following contractor questions and Government response are provided for consideration:
Contractor Question 1: The documents indicate there maybe or are hazardous materials in the structure. They also indicate that tests have been conducted, reports generated, and the resolution is part of another project. Can I obtain the report of the Hazards materials and if any remain or have all been abated?
Government Response: We are not aware of any testing. The Government will investigate this matter.
Contractor Question 2: During the site visit we noted there are a few penetrations or gutter issues causing water to enter the structure. Do you have additional info and or specific points of entry?
Government Response: The roof gutter located on the exterior of the eagle observation hall overflows during large rain/snowmelt events due to improperly sized and angled downspouts and gutters. These gutters need to be properly sized and angled. Also, the building currently has extremely poor drainage from the roof which causes water and snowmelt to spill over on the loading dock, stairs, and sidewalk utilized to access the crematory.
Contractor Question 3: E1 note #17 references removal and reinstallation of high bay lighting for insulation as necessary but can only find new insulation call outs for the exterior walls of the property storage area per sheets A4 & A9 - can you confirm if there is new insulation for the ceiling also or only walls in this area of the building?
Government Response: There is no, new insulation called out for the ceiling of the Property Storage Area, just the walls.
Contractor Question 4: Do cover pages, table of contents, cover letter, and page dividers count towards the page count on the technical proposal?
Government Response: No.
Contractor Question 5: Will the list of subcontracts pages count towards page count? The resumes took quite a bit of pages as well.
Government Response: Our intent was to list only the major, key subcontractors as cited elsewhere. We've not requested resumes, the information we've asked for should be readily available and tailored for this project.
