About this file

This document is a Recording Form for Asbestos Physical Assessment prepared by Hazard Control, Inc. for the Rosebud School District (Agency Name: ROSEBUD, LEA #A07, School #10). The assessment evaluates asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in the Rosebud Boys Dormitory building #1004.

The inspection identified total asbestos amounts of 49,788 square feet (sf) and 1,757 linear feet (lf) of ACM in damaged condition totaling 2,255 sf and 94 lf. Friable asbestos comprises 41,165 sf and 1,725 lf total, with 1,397 sf and 90 lf damaged. Non-friable asbestos totals 28,623 sf and 32 lf, with 858 sf and 4 lf damaged. Multiple homogeneous areas were identified across the building with varying conditions and damage potential ratings. Recommended response actions include repair, removal, encapsulation, or replacement depending on material type and location. Specific areas include: boiler room insulation and fittings rated in poor to fair condition requiring immediate attention; pipe coverings and acoustic ceiling materials in fair to good condition with moderate damage potential; and floor tiles in good condition with low damage potential. The assessment provides approximate remedial action costs for each area, ranging from repair and maintenance activities for accessible areas in good condition to complete removal and replacement for inaccessible or heavily damaged materials. The inspection was conducted on 1/5/89 by accredited inspectors, with supporting floor plans and photographic documentation included.
