Question 6: Are you open to using different brands for products such as solar panels, batteries, etc?
Government Response 6: Yes
Question 7: Since Campbell Scientific’s CR206X is retired, would you like Offerors to use its equivalent? Please note that the newer version requires an updated radio.
Government Response 7: Offerors are responsible for determining the best equipment to propose as part of their technical approach.
Question 8: How many total instruments are currently in operation? Our software licensing costs are specifically based on the number of instruments.
Government Response 8: Offerors are responsible for determining the best equipment to propose as part of their technical approach.
Question 9: Regarding Attachment 7, the documents only include Attachments 1-6 and
8. Can you confirm if Attachment 7 should be included, and if so, can it be provided?
Government Response 9: Attachment 7, DOI IT Baseline Compliance Contract Guidelines, is posted to SAM.gov as part of the nine (9) attachments for the subject solicitation. All nine (9) attachments were posted with the solicitation on May 31, 2024.
Question 10: For the new site referenced in Task Order 3, what specific parameters need to be monitored? Additionally, what is the anticipated communication method for this site, as we need to estimate deployment costs.
Government Response 10: There are two sites referenced in the Representative Task Order – New Sites scope. The parameters to be monitored and availability of cellular access are included in the scope. Offerors are responsible for determining the best equipment to propose as part of their technical approach.
Question 11: What type of database is currently being used by your system and is there and API available for connecting to the database?
Government Response 11: There is no API available for Offerors to connect to the existing database. Offerors are responsible for determining the best database solution to propose as part of their technical approach.
Question 12: The documentation mentions a "stainless steel enclosure" from the company AD Products CO. but does not specify the model. Can you provide the specific models available for this list of enclosures? Similarly, there isn’t a specific model for Blue Water Design’s “communications engine," please clarify the naming conventions and the specific models involved.
Government Response 12: The stainless steel enclosures in our inventory are 24” x 20” x 16”. We are no longer using communication engines in our standard technical solution. There are three errors in the inventory where communication engines are listed but are not in operation. The remaining communication engines in the inventory are located on a reservation where the tribe has contracted the EWS site work and sensor maintenance.
