140A1620R0006 – Questions & Answers

1. In an effort to promote open competition will BIA change the printer requirement to "HP printers or equal" versus sole source to HP?

ANSWER: No.

2. Today BIA receives advance shipment notification, inside delivery, consolidation services to ensure all items on a single order arrive at the same time for Dell products, inside delivery services as well as box specific labels and an asset report. Will BIA require these services as a standard on all system configurations on this contract?

ANSWER: Yes

3. Will an internal optical drive be required for the 7070 SFF system?

ANSWER: No

4. Will a 3 year or 4 year warranty be required on the monitors?

ANSWER: Three year

5. Attachment 1, Statement of Work contains a reference to “or equal” for both Dell and HP products. Will “or equal” submission be accepted?

ANSWER: No. Attachment 1, SOW has been updated to remove any reference to “or equal”.

6. The requested 5190 2-in-1 (Student Chromebook) has already gone end of life and there is limited supply of this device so it is recommended that BIA move to the Latitude 3190 2-in-1 as it is the new generation and meets or exceeds the required 5290 2-in-1 specifications.

ANSWER: The 3190 is not a chrome book it runs MS Windows. The Dell 3100 Chromebook has been selected as the new Student Chromebook.

7. For the Student Lab PC, SKU 822-3548 looks to be incorrect. The correct SKU for 4 Year Pro Support Flex with Keep Your Hard drive is 822-3546. Can BIA please revise the specification matrix to change 822-3548 to 822-3546?

ANSWER: Yes, The SKU is changed to 822-3546 in both the Education All-in-One Low end and the Education All-in-One High end
